Autumn in Chicago

This past weekend, I found myself in the Chicago suburb of Schaumburg, IL for a work conference. As you may know, conferences usually involve endless hours of sitting in windowless hotel ballrooms & by the end of day two, my client (who is also a friend) & I were itching to get out of the ‘burbs & into the fresh air. So we hopped in the car & an hour later were parked in the Loop, ready to enjoy a few hours of autumn in Chicago. I loved playing tour guide to my west coast friend & showing off Grant & Millennium Parks, which were bursting with autumn color. Of course we followed up our tour with a giant deep dish pie from Giordano’s. The visit, albeit a short one, reminded me of just how much I love traveling in the fall.
