Cruising Through the Wachau Valley

One of the highlights of any Danube River journal is the cruising Wachau Valley. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a beautiful stretch of Austria with green rolling hills, miles of vineyards, tiny little towns & impressive castles & churches. We enjoyed cruising through the valley on a sunny, cold afternoon. With a prime spot in the terrace of the Viking Jarl, we watched the world go by for hours, glass of champagne in one hand, camera in the other. Here are some of my favorite sites from our best afternoon on the river.
