Today in the United States is Memorial Day, a day that we pause to remember the sacrifices of all the men & women who serve in our armed forces, especially those who have given their lives for our freedom. For most Americans, it’s the unofficial start of summer, a day to have a picnic & spend time with family, while enjoying the warmer weather. But in small towns & big cities across the country, there are parades honoring our veterans, wreath laying ceremonies at memorials (including at Arlington National Cemetery by the president of the United States), & small moments of remembrance for those who have given so much for us.Thank you to all veterans. Your sacrifice & service has not gone unappreciated. Your family’s sacrifice has not gone unnoticed. Thank you for doing what to you do to keep us safe. And to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice: know that you will always be remembered & appreciated.
If you see someone in uniform or a veteran, today & every day, thank them for their service. It’s the least we can do.
