New York City: Street Photography

Street photography: a type of documentary photography that features subjects in candid situations within public places such as streets, parks, beaches, malls, political conventions and other settings.New York is perhaps the best city in the world for street photography. Everywhere you look, there are lines, colors, patterns, people, & famous buildings peaking around the corner. I could wander for days randomly shooting photos & encourage anyone who visits the city to spend a couple hours walking & looking for details. The little things that make the city special can sometimes be lost in the overwhelmingly large, crowded metropolis, but when you catch a glimpse of a unique one (like the Jim Henson plaque below), you’ll start to notice that they’re everywhere.
