Most people think that cruising in the Caribbean means one thing: beach. But it doesn’t necessarily mean that at all. On our recent Celebrity Equinox cruise, we visited very distinct, very different ports of call. Dominica was a jungle paradise, with hardly a lick of beach. St. Kitts was a mountainous geological wonder full of bubbling hot springs. Barbados was… okay, Barbados, at least the part we visited, as all white powdery sand beach. What I’m trying to say is that a Caribbean port can usually be whatever you want it to be – no beach necessary.
