Anyone who reads this blog on a semi-regular basis knows that I’m obsessed with train travel. The slow nature of rumbling along the rails means that getting there really is half the fun. Most of my train travel originates at Washington’s Union Station, an old, historic train station with soaring ceilings & crowded train platforms, & ends in New York City’s Penn Station (or, really, ends on NYC’s subway). In between are tiny towns, big cities, & the Chesapeaks Bay.
