Construction on Unfinished Church began in 1874 after St. Peters was severely damaged in a storm & thought beyond repair. Just as they were finishing up construction in 1926, a hurricane blew through & destroyed much of the work that had been done. Construction on the new church stalled when the congregation decided that they did want to repair St. Peters Church after all. The Unfinished Church remains a beautiful ruin today.
