Today marks the 50th anniversary of Barbados’ independence from the UK & I’m sure that Bajans have cooked up one heck of a lime (that’s their word for party). This dot in the Caribbean holds a soft spot in my heart from the years my Dad lived there as an ex-pat. The friendly locals, delicious food & great culture makes it an ideal place to visit on a tropical vacation. In honor of their 50th anniversary, here are 50 things I love about Barbados – in photos.
